His award-winning designs include a wide variety of housing types including student housing, townhomes, condominiums, apartment buildings, supportive housing, and mixed-use developments. Kim was recently inducted into the Fellowship of the AIA (FAIA) for his commitment to creating and preserving affordable housing for all through sustainable building and community design.\n\nIvan Duarte, PIE Consulting and Engineering\n\nMr. Duarte is an internationally trained architect and engineering technologist expert in building sciences. With 13 years of experience in the architectural and building science fields, he has successfully performed in multidisciplinary functions, in such roles as draftsperson and designer, consultant, staff coordinator and project management. He specializes in performing faÃ§ade surveys and property condition assessments, repair recommendations, and design.
